CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) is a major chartered bank in Canada and is listed is a Canadian-based company listed on both the Toronto and New York Stock Exchange. It was created in 1961 through a bank merger that traces its history to as far back as 1867.

CIBC offers retail products and services through its 'CIBC Retail Markets' business including personal banking, business banking and wealth management. It delivers these products and services through its branch network, ABMs, 24/7 Telephone banking service, internet website(English and French Language) and mobile banking platform including the iPhone, Blackberry and Android smartphones. As at 2010 (2010 Annual Report) it had about 1,100 bank branches and more than 3,800 ABMs across Canada.

For its retail customers, it offers a variety of savings and investing products including both savings accounts and guaranteed investment certificates. Its savings accounts offered include 

high interest savings accounts, online savings accounts as well US savings accounts. In addition guaranteed investment certificate (GICs) options available include cashable GICs, variable rate GICs, redeemable GICs, non-redeemable GICs, index-linked GICs, market-linked GICs)
